Taste Buds

Ek Tha Tiger.......Dabbang.....Joker.......Ready........Kya Supercool Hai hum.......Rowdy Rathore.........the list goes on & on. When i went to see these movies there were some couple of things going on in my mind like i wish i had slept the whole day at home or had gone sick or invented a time machine, go back to the past & stop myself from buying the movie ticket & burn down the theater to save mankind.

Whats wrong with the film world these days???
Since a few years its all about these masala hindi movies. I get it sometimes you need these sort of films to sort of you know shut down your brain & have a good time. But these movies are the only things that are coming out now and guess what these movies are making big bucks. I dont know whats wrong with the people these days & how they are enjoying these senseless crap. They even go see these films multiple times like the first time want bad enough for them. By seeing these movies becoming huge hits i can judge the audiences taste for films. What happened to good cinema & intelligent films. And some of the good movies that do come out they dont do commercially well even if getting a lot of critical appreciation.

Come on people what has happened to all your taste in cinema........if u all dont watch these smart films then whatever good filmmakers we got out there are also going to give up on themselves. I want more movies like Shanghai, Ganges of Wasseypur, Dev D, Love Sex & Dhoka, Aamir, Taare Zameen Par..........
People cant be so dumb & stupid to just keep on watching these useless movie.
I personally used to watch these movies couple of years back but now i have lost interest in hindi cinema a lot because there is a limit of to occupy garbage in your head & mine is full.

Please people wake up & smell the coffee.........Time to get your taste buds checked & fixed.

BLACK GUWAHATI

How low can a man fall down to???????
I was told since when i was a child that MAN IS A SOCIAL ANIMAL.
If u agree to this the go on the web & check out the incident of the guwahati molestation......
Still think we are correct about the social part? Does society teaches us to do that?

1 girl being molested by a mob of men........men........how can they be called men, they dont even deserve to be known as human beings. The teenage girl was of 11th grade which makes her around the age of 16. Life has just began for her & she had to face that at such an young age. Beaten up, her clothes torn, dragged around for half an hour........how can anyone live with that memory? Will she be able to go out of her home again without fear crawling up from behind? All those men didnt just molest her body......they molested her mind & soul. She will have to live the rest of her life with all those scars.

But all this doesnt mean those men in the mob were guilty. Guilty were the people who instead of saving that girl just stood on & enjoyed the show. Guilty were those men who joined the mob in harassing & molesting the girl. Guilty were the news crew who instead of calling the cops kept on filming this atrocity for half an hour. Guilty are the cops who got in late & didnt do much about it. Guilty are the people responsible for putting this video online. Guilty are those people who let these men go without any severe punishment.................................The list goes on.

Its not just guwahati though.......just type the words molestation, rape or sexual abuse with in india in the end. The incidents & articles just keep on pouring.
So whats the cause for this insanity? Ministers say it not how a girl should be dressed. Some say girls should not drink. I say who the hell are you to tell what one should wear or do. Its ones own life & he\she has the right to live their life the way they want.

This is the world we are in & the people we are living among.........ARE WE STILL FEELING THAT THIS WORLD IS A SAFER PLACE???

Go Green

GREEN SCREEN LAB
It was a film workshop that was hosted by KIIT university & our film branch was coordinating it.
It happened from 10th aug till 20th aug.
Had some of famous filmmakers & lots of talented writers.
Met some great personalities like Nila Madhab Panda, Onir, Sanjau Chauhan, Mark Aitken..........& many more.
My experience was especially with Mark Aitken. He is a filmmaker from UK & had done lots of amazing films & documentaries.
I was assisting him on a short children film he was making here titled "THE LOST ELEPHANT".
It was such a learning experience.
He was such a great guy.
In this movie the main character was obviously an elephant. So we had made a trunk just to be shown in front of the camera so as telling the story from the elephants point of view. I took some of the shots but i was the guy mostly holding the trunk.........so Mark named me the trunk operator & the best one in town. He was a funny guy & we would often make jokes. We shot at the KISS school for the tribal & backward children. They were such great kids & their teacher were also very helpful. There were like two three shots where we had to shoot with some more than 100 kids & we had to run between them. It was so intense & huge. They also recorded music being played by them for our background score & where i got to learn a thing or two about sound too. We went up the Shikharchandi mountains near our university for some shots & we needed a spot that was covered with trees sort of making it a cave. We found that spot & we shot in it. Mark was being attacked by mosquitos the size of bees & i was being shredded by the thorny bushes & branches. But he kept on going without hesitation. Me on the other hand kept cutting myself someway or the other........i guess i can say i bleed for this movie (HeHeHe). He also didnt care much about lunch rather than focusing on the work at hand. Too bad my stomach wasnt agreeing to him. But jokes apart we worked hard & we wrapped up the shot.
Next came the editing part for which he was also very kind to include me in. I thought i was just gong to sit & watch him do it but he wanted me to do a edit of the same footage & see what we both come up with. Lucky for me he saw my edit & liked it very much. He then wanted me to go over his edit & re-edit where necessary. I was really flattered. During the edit i didnt liked how the movie was ending. So i suggested a different ending to Mark fearing that he may not like it cause its his film after all. But to my surprise he agreed to my point & we shot the ending that i came up with. After we edited it with sound & everything..........the end product was so good. He put up my name in the credits as the Editor.
I was so excited & happy that the whole weeks hard work finally paid off.
This last saturaday we were supposed to screen the movie to which 100s of the KISS children were coming. But that was an unlucky day for me i guess. I left for college that day & on the way it started raining heavily so i had to come back home. It kept on raining without any signs of stopping. Over at college the screening was about to start & Mark was enquiring about me but i wasnt able to get there so it went on without me. I was a bit sad & angry that i wasnt able to see the film which i worked so hard on the big screen.......
But it was alright as others saw it & liked it a lot. My friends called me & said it was good. That brought a smile on my face.
This whole Green Screen thing was really such fun & learning experience.
Thanks Mark for letting me be your Trunk Operator.
