THE GIRL INFRONT OF ME

THE GIRL SITTING INFRONT OF ME LOOKS AT ME SOMETIMES
HER HAIR KEEPS FALLING RIGHT INFRONT OF HER EYES

I LIKE IT WHEN SHE PUSHES THE HAIR BACK HER EAR
JUST LIKE THE SUN SHINES BRIGHTLY WHEN THE CLOUDS CLEAR

HER SMILE IS SO WARM THAT I CAN FEEL IT IN MY HEART
I THINK ILL JUST FAINT THINKING OF THAT

I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO BE BY HER SIDE
TOO BAD SHE ALREADY HAS HER BOYFRIEND SITTING BESIDE

BAD TIMING & BAD LUCK THATS WHAT I GOT
SEEMS LIKE DESTINY DOESNT GIVE ME THIS LADY LUCK

HER LIPS ARE LIKE CHERRY & HER HANDS ARE LIKE CALM WATER
EVERYTIME I LOOK AT HER SHE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER & BETTER

SO SWEET SO CUTE JUST LIKE AN INNOCENT CHILD
NEXT LIFE IM SURE SHE WILL BE MINE

IF NOT THEN ME & GOD ARE GOING TO HAVE A VERY BIG FIGHT
BUT ONE DAY SOME DAY SHE WILL BE MINE
UNTIL THAT DAY ILL JUST KEEP SEEING HER IN DREAMS OF MINE

STARVE

With more than a billion people and a growth rate of 6% in which the contribution of agriculture is almost 12-13%, India is considered one of the largest agrarian economies. However, over the past 15 years, the debate about food, under a rights-based perspective, has become increasingly complex. Concerns about famine, emergency relief and technology-driven green revolutions have given way to discussions on the state's failure to deliver public distribution programmes, the discrimination these programmes perpetuate, legal entitlements to land, climate change, price volatility and the role of NGOs. In other words, the debate has shifted from starvation and subsistence to dignity and justice.
With the specter of drought haunting the countryside, speculators, hoarders and black-marketeers are back in business. Prices of essential commodities like pulses, edible oil, sugar and salt are going through the roof. Vegetables are out of reach of the average family with the price of a kilo of potatoes increasing by over 100% in the last month. But the government, preoccupied with its internal squabbles, cares little for the insecurity rising prices and consequent food deprivation causes Indian families. For the government this is collateral damage in its mission to implement pro-corporate reform (PCR) and cut food subsidy.
This approach is now reflected in its policy regarding the surplus food grain stocks it holds. The buffer stock in the month of July, according to the quarterly buffer stock norms India has, should be 3.3 crore tonnes. Current stocks are as high as 8.2 crore tonnes. Instead of distributing these surplus stocks to the millions of families wrongly defined as non-poor, the government has chosen to permit exports "to liquidate the stocks". Most of the exported food grain will be ultimately used as feed for livestock converted to animal products in developed countries.
The government sees nothing unethical about subsidizing grains for foreign cattle but not for its own people. The decision to export is influenced by agribusiness lobbies, which want to take advantage of rising wheat prices in the international market driven upwards by reported crop damage in major wheat growing areas across the globe.
The future will belong to nations with grains and not guns. We have enough grains for all – we need to open and expand our thinking on what can be done, and how to build a future where everyone on the planet always has enough to eat.
Yet, the Indian elite shrieks at the prospect of formalizing a universal right to food. Notwithstanding the collective moral deficit this reveals, it also shows that the millions of Indians whose food rights are so flagrantly violated are completely voiceless in the policy space. India's problem is not only to secure food, but to secure food justice.
What can food justice practically mean? First, to prevent situations where grains rot while people die — a very basic principle of distributive justice. But it has to mean a lot more: people must have the right to produce food with dignity, have control over the parameters of production, get just value for their labour and their produce. Mainstream notions of food security ignore this dimension. Food justice must entail both production and distribution. Its fundamental premise must be that governments have a non-negotiable obligation to address food insecurity. They must also address the structural factors that engender that insecurity. Most governments, however, appear neither willing nor able to deliver food justice. It needs therefore the devolution of power and resources to the local level, where millions of protagonists, with their knowledge of local needs and situations, can create a just food economy.
What is required is a proper mechanism at the national and state level for co-ordinated policy making. Storage capacities should be built in food deficit regions while developing cold storage chains and food processing to prevent wastage. A plan must be made to improve agri-infrastructure with backward and forward linkages to help boost production, cut wastage and develop agri markets.

EYE SEE YOU

Eyes, they say a lot of things
Even if its closed or might be open

No one knows the truth behind those lids
So many emotions & so many feelings

Tears roll down when it hurts inside these
So many colours, many many beings
What lies behind these eyes i think

I keep my smile even when im sad
But my eyes say everything about that part

My love always kept looking in my eyes
She could see her face through my eyes

My heart just saw her mesmerizing face
Maybe thats why i couldnt see the deception in her gaze

From that day i keep my eyes closed
Afraid of the next pair of eyes ill see next time

What horror & lies it might hold inside
My eyes will soon lose their colour cause its a very dark world outside

CONFUSION

I dont know what to do

My heart & mind are not working together

Which one should i listen

Do i want my past or my future

Afraid i might lose myself to her again

Pain, pain & more pain

Why did she come back

Is it your doing God

Or is it just my destiny

How much more can she hurt me

My heart has forgotten how to live..... how to love

Ill just keep walking the path infront of me

Lets see where life takes me

India has always been a democratic and china has always been the authoritarian. Long back during Mao, the ideologies of the fledging communist state and the stomachs of its people clashed, and the stomachs lost. Decades after Mao and YI ZI ER SHI and the TIANANMEN MASSACRE, a lot has changed. China has grown and so have its leaders and the rampant corruption. But at least corruption is efficient in china. It can amount to 20-30 % of the project’s cost; but a onetime payment can fast track local government approvals that pave the way for profits to come in future.
As America saw a powerful and nail biting election, the gaze of the world’s media was focused squarely on Washington. But on the other side of the world, a leadership change of potentially greater significance was also getting under way. For the first time in a decade – and only the second time in history – the men at the top of the Chinese Communist Party will step down, voluntarily, and hand over power to a new generation.
But while American voters had a pretty good idea by now of who their candidates are and what they represent, the Chinese public remains utterly cut off from the political process. Not only do politicians here all sport identical dyed-black haircuts, but they all make identical, impenetrable and interminable speeches. The communist party is assiduous in removing all information about the leaders making it inaccessible for the common public. In modern Beijing, the Soviet art of Kremlinology, which involved scholars searching for hidden messages in reams of official jargon, or counting the use of certain phrases in the party newspaper, remains alive and well.
Indeed, while we knew that the leadership change will happen at the 18th Party Congress, which opened on Thursday, we did not know exactly when the new leaders will be unveiled or when the congress will end. Those in China cannot even search for the phrase “18th party congress” on the internet: it has been removed by the censors.
All we can be sure of is that, at some point in the near future, a group of men – and they are all likely to be men – will walk on to a dais in the Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square. These will be the seven members of the politburo standing committee, the Chinese equivalent of the Cabinet, selected (by an essentially mysterious process) from among the 25 politburo members originally elected by the party’s 300-strong central committee. Those who think the U.S. electoral college is a complicated system for choosing a leader should take a look at China right now.
The 18th National Congress will have 2270 delegates selected from 40 constituencies. This represents an increase of 57 delegates and two constituencies from the 17th Congress. 31 of these constituencies represent China's province-level Provinces, Autonomous Regions, and Municipalities. Six other delegations represent: Taiwan, the People's Liberation Army, The Central Party Organization, The Central Government Ministries and Commissions, Central State Owned Enterprises, and Central Banks and Financial Institutions. The remaining three delegations are the subject of conflicting accounts. Hong Kong and Macau may represent two delegations or one delegation or they may be treated as part of the Guangdong delegation. Other delegations that have been identified by various sources include the Peoples Armed Police, units involved in “social management”, the public service sector, workers in private enterprises, and workers in foreign and joint enterprises. No more than 68% of the delegates may hold leadership positions within the party. The remaining 32% will be "grassroots" party members who hold jobs outside of the party apparatus. The number of female delegates will be required to increase. Each delegation will be selected (by the province level congresses) in an election in which there are at least 15% more candidates than there are delegates to be selected. The candidates in these elections are heavily vetted by multiple party organs. In addition to these 2270 delegates, an uncertain number of additional delegates, primarily retired veteran Communist leaders, will be selected. It is designed to assess the country's progress, and set new directions. Every 10 years it selects the new leadership.
The delegates will pick the roughly 200 members of the party's Central Committee, about three-quarters of whom are expected to be replaced, mostly because of their age.
The Central Committee chooses the members of the Politburo, from which the powerful Politburo Standing Committee is selected. The handful of leaders who make up the Standing Committee are China's top decision makers.

There will be no frenzy of exit polls and ballot counting. The major outcomes of the ruling Communist Party's 18th National Congress, as the event is known, have been determined in advance after months of secretive maneuvering and deal-making among senior party figures.
But the result matters for China's 1.3 billion citizens and for countries around the globe like the United States that are trying to decipher what the Asian giant's growing international clout means for them.
The only problem is, nobody's sure exactly what China's new top brass will do once they have assumed power.
During the race for the White House in the United States, President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney eagerly brandished their credentials for getting tough on China, with Obama citing trade suits he'd filed and Romney promising to label Beijing a currency manipulator.China is now the world's second-biggest economy and closing fast on the United States.
There have been disappointments and discontent along the way, and Hu's much vaunted "harmonious society" is showing signs of cracking.Chinese leaders have endured a tumultuous year. The veil of secrecy around the party has been lifted, with reports of rifts and infighting. And the fall of Bo brought about China's biggest political scandal in decades.
Bo, once party chief of the massive metropolis of Chongqing, is now in disgrace awaiting trial. His wife, Gu Kailai, is in prison, convicted of murdering a British business associate.
Senior party leaders and their leaders have had to deal with unusual scrutiny of their affairs, with Western news organizations publishing investigations into the wealth accumulated by the families of Xi and Wen.
Chinese authorities responded to the reports by blocking the websites of the news organizations involved: Bloomberg News and The New York Times.
But China's army of censors is having to grapple with the rapid rise of social media platforms on which information moves and mutates at a dizzying pace.
China is treading many fault lines: a widening gap between rich and poor, rising unrest about issues like pollution and land seizures, and a slowing economy that some say is in need of serious reform.
Hu mentioned some of those tensions Thursday along with several other contentious issues like food safety, health care and the criminal justice system -- acknowledging that "there are a lot of difficulties and problems on our road ahead." Another issue Hu's government has struggled to tackle during its decade in power is the discontent and unrest among Tibetans living under Chinese rule.
Authorities were given a grim reminder on Wednesday of the disillusionment and desperation of many Tibetans in western areas of China after four people set themselves on fire to protest Chinese rule.
One teenage Tibetan monk died and two were injured after self-immolating in a majority Tibetan region of Sichuan Province, said Penpa Tsering, a spokesman for the Tibetan parliament in exile in Dharamsala, India. And a 23-year-old Tibetan woman died a separate incident in Qinghai Province, Tsering said, citing unidentified people in Tibetan areas.
Dozens of Tibetans are reported to have set themselves ablaze in the past 18 months to express their unhappiness with Chinese rule. And the central government in Beijing is also dealing with other restive ethnic groups, like the Uyghurs in the western province of Xinjiang.
As the whole world waits eagerly for one of the biggest economy to announce its set of leaders, we expect more liberal leaders to come to the forefront. This would decide the relations of china with others.

The Girl Next Door

Ive always had a thing for the girl next door
Like it or leave it but she never was a bore.

So sweet, so cute but thats not new
Still then everyday i feel shes renewed.

10 years it has been since she moved in
Another 10 it will take for my words to begin.

Call it my love or it also might be my liking
In my dreams she is my queen but im never her king.

No matter how i look, no matter how i dress
Im just not able to make her impress.

Maybe she doesnt notice me, she thinks im not there
Oh God let her know how much i care.

Heaven on earth she is for me
But without her from my Hell i shall never be free.

What if she has a bad temper or a bad mood???
Oh!....... a Slap, that will be very rude.

But no need for all this because it the end of my love, thats right
Because i saw her going out with someone last night.

Heart broken or heart shattered whatever it might be
I can feel something hurt deep inside me.

If he makes you happy then im happy for you
Though tonight i shall cry for you......only you.

I never knew her name, it was not on the door
Forget it, leave it because its time to........TRY THE NEXT DOOR.

HERE WE GOA !!!

Its been 3 years since me & 2 of my friends planned a trip to goa but it got cancelled because one of my friends mom thought in goa her son will get into girls....booze ......drugs....etc. So much for our months of daydreaming. Then came last year. I still remember me & about 10 of my friends were standing infront of Big Bazar. One of my friend got his job joining letter so it was sort of a farewell. Soon all were going to leave for their jobs too. At that moment i stood up & said guys lets make a pact, next year 2012 we are going to meet in goa. Everyone got pumped at that time i guess & all shouted yes. I with my creative mind said lets take on oath. We had no burning fire that time so i placed my phone & everyone put their hands on it. We all took the oath that next year we meet in goa........All a bit emotional & senti......it was a touchy moment. The pic below was taken that day.....(We do look like vampires....cell phone pic)

Next comes 2012.....by now almost all my friends had left BBSR. Every phone call would end with some discussion on goa. The excitement & anticipation just kept on increasing day by day.  We originally had planned to go during the winter holidays but we later decided for Dushehra holidays. Planning & preparations were underway. On the 18th of oct i initiated the goa journey. I  think i travelled about 100+ hours on the train for the entire trip including the return. See this is how ot happened. I started from BBSr to Kolkata (alone which is really boring) then from Kol i was joined by 2 friend & we left for Pune on the 19th. We reached pune on the 21st & were joined by 2 other friends. Then we left for goa & reached on the 22nd morning. Our other friends joined us at the station there.

The moment we stepped on the goa platform me & my friend looked at each other & said we are here dude....we are finally here.We hired a taxi went straight to our resort & boy what a view that resort had......it was worth every penny.

We went to our rooms freshened up, rented us some bikes, had some breakfast & went straight for the beach. The water was so good & relaxing, we spent the whole day at the beach.. Later that evening we went to a club. We danced & had loads of fun there.

We did lots of water sports....we tried lots of goan cusines....did some shopping......etc.
The best part was the para sailing ....the feeling of just free floating in the air above the ocean....that feeling of peace & forgetting everything around you....... simply amazing.

All together we saw both the good side & bad side of goa. I cant go into details sorry. A lot of other things also happened but i cant disclose those because my friends wouldnt want me to so i must respect their privacy. We did lots of new things...experienced lots of new things......both good & bad...... But just like my mass comm mam told me once ""experience everything...... just dont get addicted". I guess what happens in goa.......stays in goa.

But all on all we had a fun & memorable trip\ get-together\ holiday...............& we are planing to do another trip next year but some other place.
Lets see how the next one turns out.

FREE YOUR MIND

The word "creativity," in our society, tends to be applied to artistic endeavors.Creativity is not just about the arts, or particular types of individual.Creativity goes beyond possession and use of artistic or musical talent. When a toddler figures out that he can climb a strategically placed chair to reach a cookie on the kitchen counter, he has engaged in highly creative problem solving. We all have creative potential. Our job as parents and teachers is to help kids fulfill it.Whether that potential is being fulfilled is another story entirely.Today's toddler faces a universe of rapidly evolving technology, an ever-shifting global economy, and far-reaching health and environmental challenges -- scenarios that will require plenty of creative thinking.

The roots of a creative society are in basic education. The sheer volume of facts to be digested by the students of today leaves little time for a deeper interrogation of their moral worth. The result has been a generation of technicians rather than visionaries, each one taking a career rather than an idea seriously. The answer must be reform in our educational methods so that students are encouraged to ask about “know-why” as well as“know-how”. Once the arts are restored to a more central role in educational institutions, there could be a tremendous unleashing of creative energy in other disciplines too.

Our current school system is slowly squashing the creativity in children's.  We need to change that. We should make changes in our education system to help bring out the creativity potential in each & every children. Creative thinking is shown when children generate ideas, show imagination and originality, and can judge the value of what they have done. What promotes creativity is a questioning classroom, where teachers and pupils value diversity, ask unusual and challenging questions; make new connections; represent ideas in different ways – visually, physically and verbally; try fresh approaches and solutions to problems; and critically evaluate new ideas and actions.By providing rich and varied contexts for pupils to acquire, develop and apply a broad range of knowledge, understanding and skills, the curriculum should enable pupils to think creatively and critically, to solve problems and to make a difference for the better. It should give them the opportunity to become creative, innovative, enterprising and capable of leadership to equip them for their future lives as workers and citizens. It should enable pupils to respond positively to opportunities, challenges and responsibilities, to manage risk and cope with change and adversity.

Promoting creative thinking is a powerful way of engaging children with their learning. Children who are encouraged to think creatively show increased levels of motivation and self esteem. Creativity prepares them with the flexible skills they will need to face an uncertain future. Employers want people who are adaptable, innovative, can solve problems and communicate well with others. Developing the capacity to be creative can enrich their lives and help them to contribute to a better society.

Creativity cannot be left to chance, it must be valued, encouraged and expected - and seen as essential to all teaching and learning. So get creative – and enjoy it!

NO MERCY

SEE NO EVIL.....HEAR NO EVIL........SPEAK NO EVIL
These are one of the many immortal words of the great Mahatma Gandhi who drove away the British rule from India. His weapons in this battle were truth, non-violence & forgiveness. India was reborn with these ideologies then......But in this present world do these ideologies still matter?????

India is still said to be a humble & forgiving country. Should we take that as a compliment......I dont think these are still our strengths. Our country has been & is still being repeatedly attacked by terrorists, moaists other countries but how does India reply back. Is our country not strong enough to face them once & for all. Or do we lack the man power & technology for so. Does our country do anything about this......if yes then why are all these still happening. When was the last time a death sentence was executed in India? It was in 2004. Instead of executing death sentences our country favors to accept mercy petitions. If the people committing crimes & offence dont even have the fear of sever punishment or death why would they stop their work. In June 2012, it created quite a storm when it became known that Indian president Pratibha Patil commuted the death sentence of as many as 35 convicts to life near the end of her 5 year term as the president including 4 on the same day(June 2).Further, it caused embarrassment to the government when it came to light that one of these convicts Bandu Baburao Tidke- convicted for the rape and murder of a 16 year old girl- had died 5 years ago due to HIV. The Mumbai attacks was one of the biggest terrorism attack in India......What reply did we send back to the terrorists........there are still bomb blasts having to this date. Why cant we put an end to this. If our country would want then no can can dare mess with it. We need to stand up & say enough.

We cannot deal with every situation with forgiveness. I know to forgive is divine but that does not apply to all situations. We cant keep forgiving something that destroys us slowly & slowly. We need to stand up to those who stand against our country. We need to put such fear into them that they will think twice before going against us.

PAIN IS UNAVOIDABLE BUT SUFFERING IS OPTIONAL..........LET US NOT SUFFER ANYMORE.

RING....RING..........

The cell phone is one of the most rapidly growing new technologies in the world. In 2001, cell phone subscriptions were less than a billion worldwide with the majority of the subscriptions from the developed countries. At the end of 2010, however, cell phone subscriptions had reached five billion worldwide with subscriptions from developing countries outnumbering that of the developed countries. Cell phones have become one of the basic of our lives. We eat with them, live with them, sleep with them, work with them......some of us cant even imagine how our ex-generation lived when these phones weren't there.

Cell phones have brought a whole new meaning to the term multitasking. Twenty years ago, it was not possible to talk to the office while you were at the grocery store picking up some necessary items. Cell phones have also enabled families to keep in closer touch with each other. We can make urgent calls in case of some emergency. We cant connect to anyone anywhere in the world with just a press of few buttons. Now a days cell phones have become much more than just a phone.....it can do many wonders like video browsing, games, internet, music & much more. Cell phones have changed the way of life.

But cell phones also have a negative side too. During recent years, the use of mobile phones has increased substantially and has been paralleled by a
growing concern about the effects on health attributed to exposure to the electromagnetic fields produced by them and their base stations. Demonstrating that radiation causes adverse effects on health would signal a widespread public health problem. Mobile phones emit radio frequency or microwave radiation. Exposure to such a radiation could affect health directly. Research is still being done to find concrete conclusions to the affect of cell phones on human body. In the meantime we should talk till necessary & use earpiece whenever we can.

Cell phones can even become an addiction for some. Majority of teens say that they wont have a social life without their cell phones. But life went on before cell phones were invented didn't it......Our parents survived right. But they use them now & it has become a necessity for them. No one blames them. The world is becoming so advanced & fast for us all that we have to keep up with it. For this we need cell phones & other such gadgets. As for social life i know we can call our friends anytime we want or text them.....But what about that person standing right in front of you. Today when people are waiting for a bus or something, they just pull out their cell phones and speak with old friends, missing out on the opportunity to make new ones. In large cities, many people do not know their neighbors, even though they may have lived in the same neighborhood for years. As a society, we are beginning to lose the face-to-face contact that was such an important part of our lives in the past.

Cell phones have changed our lives in both good ways and bad ways. All in all, I'm not saying that cell phones are a bad thing......We should just remember, however, to hang up every once in a while and pay attention to the world around you...... Its a Beautiful World out there.

BLACK AS COAL

Sixth september 2012... one of the darkest of days in the political history of odisha. What started as a general rally due to agitation against the long ruling BJD party by the leading opposition party in Odisha or Congress turned into a day that the non-violence loving people of Bhubaneswar may not be able to forget so quickly. Congress supporters led by 1984 Sikh Riots Blacksheep Jagdish Tytler agitated the ensemble against the Chief Minister of Odisha, demanding his resignation for his alledged involvement in the recent Coal Allotment Scam or as popularly known 'Coalgate'.

The term 'Coalgate' referering to a multi-billion dollar scam exposed by the Controller and Auditor General of India. What the CAG Report said was that the Allocation of various Coal Blocks in Mineral Rich states of India including Odisha were done to Government favoured Companies at throw away prices thereby causing a big dent to the Govt. exchequer. CAG reported that had the Coal blocks been allocated to companies through the established process of competitive bidding, then the gain to the Government would have been massive. The loss accounted for as estimated by the CAG is upto 1.85 Lac Crores.

The Opposition, BJP blamed the centre for the scam and disrupted nearly the whole monsoon session of Parliament without letting much proceedings to go ahead demanding immediate resignation of the Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh. Various major Bills were stopped due to an uncooperative opposition in the parliament leading to absolute chaos in both the houses of Parliament followed by adjournment of the Houses. They were blaming that the Government used favoritism for personal gains and hence did not allocate the Coal blocks according to the policy formulated in 2004.

However Congress party at the Centre blames the state Governments in which most Coal Blocks are present and are mostly ruled over by the opposition. The Central Government says that the governments of major coal bearing states including Chattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal opposed the process of competitive bidding as they felt that it would increase the cost of coal, adversely impact value addition and development of industries in their areas and legally it would have been difficult for the centre to go ahead with bidding process without the consensus of these leading parties with diverse interests. Although the same is being denied by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen pattnaik was on the back foot because of his ministers earlier involvement in the Mining Scam. Both this were enough reasons for the Leading Opposition party of Odisha to take the streets against what they called a Corrupt and Incompetent BJD party and thus came out the thugs of Congress party for a Rally outside the Odisha Parliament. Incited by a hateful and angry speech by Jagdish Tytler and Odisha Pradesh Congress leader Niranjan Pattnaik, the mob gathered started pelting stones at the security officials and forcefully breaking cordons setup by the Bhubaneswar City Police. Police also reiterated by Lathicharging the crowd, and using water cannons and tear gas to disperse the crowd which lead to the mob becoming more violent leading to clashes between both parties. What followed was an ugly scene in Bhubaneswar with more than 100 people injured in the clashes including security personnel.

Although the Supreme Court of India has since ordered the Government to reply to it stating why the policy of competitive bidding was not followed and what steps have been proposed against the Companies who are involved in breach of their contracts, it still remains a mystery as to when and how will the Protests, the Violence, the Riots and the Bandh's which have virtually taken over the running of this country and are a regular sight all over India eventually end. Will these Protests and the Bandh's yield any result or are these just demonstrations of strength by Political parties in which blood and sweat of innocent civilians flows ... It is for the people to see that neither the Centre nor the States are in the right here and hence any protest the people take up might lead to a different political party but not a different state of affairs.

WE FOR BY......PEOPLE

Men & their struggle for power knows no boundaries.

In this case im talking about the power of position in politics. There was a rally on the 6th of this month by the Congress apposing the BJD rule by Naveen Patnaik. It all happened at the Odisha assembly. This rally turned aggressive & ended up being a massive riot. They all clashed with the police. 260 were left injured including 60 police personnel.
But i would like to bring ur attention to one particular police woman who was brutally beaten by several people in the protest. Her name is Pramilla Padhi & like several others she was just doing her duty which was establishing peace & order. She was dragged on the road by her hair, getting beaten by bamboo sticks & was being hit by people. She is right now recovering from serious injuries in the hospital.

This incident just kept reminding me of the Guwahati molestation case. Same brutality just different place, different situation & different people. I just dont get these people anymore. Is there something wrong with them psychologically???
I bet half of the people in that rally were men for hire who had nothing to do with the Congress or the BJD. I guess people in general have lot of anger inside them & they just need outlets to release them. I wish they devoted this anger & aggression at their jobs or professions rather than on the streets beating people.
If u have a problem with the governing party talk about it.....tell about it. If theres any  truth in your beliefs & allegations then actions will take its own course. But how is getting down on the road creating chaos going to help it.
That woman in that police uniform is supposed to mean something & what happened didnt put out a good example of how it should be treated.

Do you people still call yourselves Men after beating a police woman in a bunch?????

Play It Safe

SEX......sounds good right.......how about SAFE SEX??? I know this puts a Booooooo on few peoples mind.

First of all let me clear that im not here to talk about the age limit for intercourse or its impact on young children or anything else like that. Today im just going to talk about having safe sex.

Like food, water or shelter, sex is also a basic need\instinct of human beings & i bet no one can deny that (and whoever does........ stop lying man, your going to hell). Society now a days sort of puts this in front of or eyes that sex is a bad thing or whatever. According to me sex is perfectly fine if both you & your partner are adults & both wish to do it without any pressure or worries. But the most important thing is that you practice safe sex.

Your probably wondering this isnt something new, everyone knows that. But let me tell you even today we are still not that changed. I dint do like a survey to find this out....... 2 of my friends have had sex multiple times without using a condom. Its not like they are illiterate or dont know its consequences. Its just that they dont want to use them & that make them complete idiots. When i ask them why dont you use a condom, their answers are like......"dude it spoils all the fun" (yeah right how about getting her pregnant & having a baby that sounds pretty fun)........sometimes its.... "dont worry dude i can control myself" (wow i have got the Buddha as my friend).
If thats what my friends think then im sure there are thousands more like them. Come on people do you really want to ruin your life over a 10 rupee condom. Pregnancy......STDs......Not worth it im telling you. This is the 21st century so stop behaving like primitives & start behaving like responsible human beings. Trust me it is better to be safe than to worry.

Have a safe & happy sex life.......

Taste Buds

Ek Tha Tiger.......Dabbang.....Joker.......Ready........Kya Supercool Hai hum.......Rowdy Rathore.........the list goes on & on. When i went to see these movies there were some couple of things going on in my mind like i wish i had slept the whole day at home or had gone sick or invented a time machine, go back to the past & stop myself from buying the movie ticket & burn down the theater to save mankind.

Whats wrong with the film world these days???
Since a few years its all about these masala hindi movies. I get it sometimes you need these sort of films to sort of you know shut down your brain & have a good time. But these movies are the only things that are coming out now and guess what these movies are making big bucks. I dont know whats wrong with the people these days & how they are enjoying these senseless crap. They even go see these films multiple times like the first time want bad enough for them. By seeing these movies becoming huge hits i can judge the audiences taste for films. What happened to good cinema & intelligent films. And some of the good movies that do come out they dont do commercially well even if getting a lot of critical appreciation.

Come on people what has happened to all your taste in cinema........if u all dont watch these smart films then whatever good filmmakers we got out there are also going to give up on themselves. I want more movies like Shanghai, Ganges of Wasseypur, Dev D, Love Sex & Dhoka, Aamir, Taare Zameen Par..........
People cant be so dumb & stupid to just keep on watching these useless movie.
I personally used to watch these movies couple of years back but now i have lost interest in hindi cinema a lot because there is a limit of to occupy garbage in your head & mine is full.

Please people wake up & smell the coffee.........Time to get your taste buds checked & fixed.

BLACK GUWAHATI

How low can a man fall down to???????
I was told since when i was a child that MAN IS A SOCIAL ANIMAL.
If u agree to this the go on the web & check out the incident of the guwahati molestation......
Still think we are correct about the social part? Does society teaches us to do that?

1 girl being molested by a mob of men........men........how can they be called men, they dont even deserve to be known as human beings. The teenage girl was of 11th grade which makes her around the age of 16. Life has just began for her & she had to face that at such an young age. Beaten up, her clothes torn, dragged around for half an hour........how can anyone live with that memory? Will she be able to go out of her home again without fear crawling up from behind? All those men didnt just molest her body......they molested her mind & soul. She will have to live the rest of her life with all those scars.

But all this doesnt mean those men in the mob were guilty. Guilty were the people who instead of saving that girl just stood on & enjoyed the show. Guilty were those men who joined the mob in harassing & molesting the girl. Guilty were the news crew who instead of calling the cops kept on filming this atrocity for half an hour. Guilty are the cops who got in late & didnt do much about it. Guilty are the people responsible for putting this video online. Guilty are those people who let these men go without any severe punishment.................................The list goes on.

Its not just guwahati though.......just type the words molestation, rape or sexual abuse with in india in the end. The incidents & articles just keep on pouring.
So whats the cause for this insanity? Ministers say it not how a girl should be dressed. Some say girls should not drink. I say who the hell are you to tell what one should wear or do. Its ones own life & he\she has the right to live their life the way they want.

This is the world we are in & the people we are living among.........ARE WE STILL FEELING THAT THIS WORLD IS A SAFER PLACE???

Go Green

GREEN SCREEN LAB
It was a film workshop that was hosted by KIIT university & our film branch was coordinating it.
It happened from 10th aug till 20th aug.
Had some of famous filmmakers & lots of talented writers.
Met some great personalities like Nila Madhab Panda, Onir, Sanjau Chauhan, Mark Aitken..........& many more.
My experience was especially with Mark Aitken. He is a filmmaker from UK & had done lots of amazing films & documentaries.
I was assisting him on a short children film he was making here titled "THE LOST ELEPHANT".
It was such a learning experience.
He was such a great guy.
In this movie the main character was obviously an elephant. So we had made a trunk just to be shown in front of the camera so as telling the story from the elephants point of view. I took some of the shots but i was the guy mostly holding the trunk.........so Mark named me the trunk operator & the best one in town. He was a funny guy & we would often make jokes. We shot at the KISS school for the tribal & backward children. They were such great kids & their teacher were also very helpful. There were like two three shots where we had to shoot with some more than 100 kids & we had to run between them. It was so intense & huge. They also recorded music being played by them for our background score & where i got to learn a thing or two about sound too. We went up the Shikharchandi mountains near our university for some shots & we needed a spot that was covered with trees sort of making it a cave. We found that spot & we shot in it. Mark was being attacked by mosquitos the size of bees & i was being shredded by the thorny bushes & branches. But he kept on going without hesitation. Me on the other hand kept cutting myself someway or the other........i guess i can say i bleed for this movie (HeHeHe). He also didnt care much about lunch rather than focusing on the work at hand. Too bad my stomach wasnt agreeing to him. But jokes apart we worked hard & we wrapped up the shot.
Next came the editing part for which he was also very kind to include me in. I thought i was just gong to sit & watch him do it but he wanted me to do a edit of the same footage & see what we both come up with. Lucky for me he saw my edit & liked it very much. He then wanted me to go over his edit & re-edit where necessary. I was really flattered. During the edit i didnt liked how the movie was ending. So i suggested a different ending to Mark fearing that he may not like it cause its his film after all. But to my surprise he agreed to my point & we shot the ending that i came up with. After we edited it with sound & everything..........the end product was so good. He put up my name in the credits as the Editor.
I was so excited & happy that the whole weeks hard work finally paid off.
This last saturaday we were supposed to screen the movie to which 100s of the KISS children were coming. But that was an unlucky day for me i guess. I left for college that day & on the way it started raining heavily so i had to come back home. It kept on raining without any signs of stopping. Over at college the screening was about to start & Mark was enquiring about me but i wasnt able to get there so it went on without me. I was a bit sad & angry that i wasnt able to see the film which i worked so hard on the big screen.......
But it was alright as others saw it & liked it a lot. My friends called me & said it was good. That brought a smile on my face.
This whole Green Screen thing was really such fun & learning experience.
Thanks Mark for letting me be your Trunk Operator.
